Reset 417 My dryer is beeping and the lights are blinking. I've thoroughly cleaned the lint trap and tried this previous suggestion: Unplug the machine for 30 minutes , plug it back it, start it for 1 minute, unplug it again for 5 minutes then plug back it and it should work. If not then write back with the error codes so further diagnostics can be done. The dryness indicator lights will not come on or adjust with the button but they come on blinking & beeping when the dryer is on. It stays on for one minute then cuts off.

SOURCE: Dryer stays hot hours after using it

The heater has failed and/or is shorting to the case. Remove the rear panel. The heater is on the right side, attached to the heater housing with two screws.

After just now calling the service center it seems that unplugging the machine for 30 seconds or so will reset the control panel. The F 40 code means the signal wasn't working in the machine and resetting it solved the problem. Kind of like when you have to unplug the computer sometimes.

Whirlpool dryer ler7646eq1 will not heat

First the most obvious and you've most likely covered yourself look at the lint trap/if clogged clean thoroughly with vacuum cleaner pull out lint trap and **** up as far as deep as you can get some of the lint that you don't see and believe me there's a ton depending on your exhaust/vent type . Next go outside check the vent attached to the outside of home for clogs/lint buildup lastly here's a trick I've personally used SEVERAL TIMES on my old ge dryer if you have a LEAF BLOWER pull dryer out of the way and next go outside remove exhast vent usually 4 phippls screws going out next remove vent/trap outside go back inside and use the leaf blower to blow out all of the lint caught in the vent tube your be surprised how much was in there. HOPE this quick fix addresses your dryer issue if not its most likely the dryers thermostat they're fairly cheap online. Just trying to save you a buck friend. Have a good day Ryan in Minnesota

My dryer won't work! The light works and the lint

Hi

I believe that everything else is fine rather it is the thermal fuse that is located inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct that is bad and should be replaced. If you want you can test this fuse for continuity and if it is bad then it should be replaced, as it cannot be reset. If the fuse is fine then it can be due to the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

I have a Kenmore HE2 dryer that was working just fine. My husband stopped it in the middle of it's cycle to check on the clothes. He cleaned the lint trap and put back. When he closed the door and tried to...

you can unplug it for about 30 minutes, but I would venture to guess that the sensor which is located below the lint trap(if you look down the trap you will see to screws) is dirty and need to be cleaned, clean gently as not to break the sensor. Good Luck Tim

Keep getting 3 beeps and the lights come on while its beeping.

Mine has been beeping incessantly as well. Turned out that even though I was cleaning the filter after each load, there was still a ball of lint the size of a tennis ball that was blocking the lint sensor. To fix, I removed the screws from the plastic piece that holds the lint trap and slid it out (it won't come out entirely.) Then I used the mini attachments for my vacuum to remove the lint from the bottom of that space. Once I did that, the dryer has been working flawlessly.
