SOURCE: cannot display image on a proector using Lenovo laptop

Sounds like an extended desktop. have you tried dragging an open window (ie. internet explorer webpage) to the top, right, bottom, AND left? When you get to one of the edges, move it like you are moving it off and it should move to the other screen. You can change your setting to 'duplicate' your desktop in your video settings.

SOURCE: CONNECTING ACER TO THE TV

Hi I have an Acer Aspire 4920. It's a good laptop and have been using it for about 2 weeks now. One issue I have is that the VGA connector on the laptop has no screw holes which means when your try to screw the VGA plug to the socket via the thumb screws..you can't!! This isn't a big problem but its sub standard.

As far as connecting it to the TV is concerned. The laptop should have a yellows S VIDEO out din socket on the left hand side near the buillt in NETWORK and MODEM Line ports. You need to connect a SVIDEO cable from here to the TV's SVIDEO or SCART(using a suitable SVideo to Scart). Then make sure the TV is set on the correct SVIDEO input. Now reboot the laptop. The [FN] + [F5] only works if you are using the VGA output to a LCD or Monitor/Projector. Once back into windows desktop you need to go into the properties of the graphics card and activate it through the menu under one of the tabs.

Hope this helps.

Try just pressing "Fn" and "F7" keys until the output switches to your TV.

My friend, the easiest and by far the best way I have seen is to set the advance timings on your laptop just right and use a vga to scart cable.

Restart your Laptop to recognize again your TV on the system.

When i am trying to set a new wallpaper on my desktop(any size) it is asking do u really want to change the desktop......when i click yes ...........................there is no chane on the desktop same...

Hi viivek_sharm,
I see that you have an s10-3 Netbook and that you are tying to change your wallpaper on it.
  • Since that is an s10-3 Netbook it comes with Windows 7 Starter Edition and if you have the Windows7 Starter edition even if it gives you the chance to change the wallpaper it will not take effect since in Windows7 Starter you cannot change some of the settings unlike in the other Windows7 versions.
  • The only solution would be upgrading to a different version of Windows7 on your Netbook but since taht is an S10-3 it can be upgraded to Windows7 Home premium 32bit only Other Windows7 may work amd there will be no drivers on the Lenovo website that can be downloaded for the other versions of Windows7.
  • you can visit http://consumersupport.lenovo.com/us/en/DriversDownloads/drivers_list.aspx?CategoryID=686287 and check for yourself to see what driver there are for your s10-3 Netbook.
  • Also you can check in http://www.lenovo.com/psref/pdf/ipbook.pdf the specs of your Lenovo s10-3 and what it has default.
I hope that this answers you question, have a nice day.

I installed windows7 in my laptop(lenovo-y410). The bluetooth is not working and volume reduced automatically.. plz give me a solution for this.. is there any driver software for bluetooth in windows7?

You may try to install the Vista driver for your bluetooth card- found here: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/MIGR-68104.html

However, the quick research I found did not indicate a specific driver for 7- so it may rely on the native support from 7.
