Initially, I get a green flashing light when unit turned on, but after a minute or so, it turns to a red flashing light. It will take in the film tray only when blinking red, not when blinking green. My iMac has a hard time seeing the scanner, keep getting "scanner not found" messages. I have to go to system profiler and have it refresh and then it finds it, then the scanner software sees it too. But I have been unable to one preview out of it, says LED error and that's it. Using 10.4.10 on an iMac 20" with 2.5gb of RAM, using Pshop CS2 or going through Minolta Driver of OSX I got off of VersionTracker. I did remove the screw for transport right away. Will feed in 35mm tray with red blinking light, will not feed in 120 tray except partially with red blinking light, and only a couple times out of maybe ten tries.

Cant find a macdriver for minolta damage scan dual 3

Hello you can find info here:

http://www.konicaminoltasupport.com/DiMAGE-Scanner.3088.0.html

But here is no software to be found.

Some of the scanners are working with adobe photoshop.
It also depends how new your mac os system is.

I think you should call the support for more qualified answer.

Good luck

Why won't Minolta film Scanner work with iMac and OSX 10.6.2?

Hi
I bought a secondhand, nearly new Minolta Dimage Scan Elite 5400 a few years ago but never tried to use it until now when I tried to get it to work with my iMac running OSX 10.6.2. I uploaded the Dimage software but I cannot get it to recognise the scanner - any suggestions? Do I need to get updated drivers?

Konica Minolta DiMAGE Scan Dual IV Film Scanner driver in an IMac

DS Dual 4 even works with SnowLeopard on a CoreDuo MBP. But it doesn not support Autofocus when used under USB2. You have to use a USB1.1 Port, if you want to use autofocus function. Every time the software crashes, because you tried e.g. to use autofocus with USB2, you will have to close the application, go to the folder User/Library/Preferences/DS Dual4/... and look whether there is a file name something like "MFSlib...." and pull it to the trash bin. You can start the application again. PS.: Your keyboard USB port is a USB 1.1 port!

Mac OS X Leopard & Dimage Scan Elite II

Forget about the Minolta software. It's buggy at best with OS X. Use VueScan instead. A free trial is available so you can test it before you commit to buying it.

Hello, Verify with the manufacture of the scanner to see if you have the proper driver(s) for the scanner, also if its compatible with your OS version.
