Lightscribe dvd drive won't work. the eject command does not make it open either. seems to be jammed. if i break it down can it be "unjammed" without ruining it?

Actually it's probaly just got some dust or something in it. What you do to manually open it is take a needle, thumb tack, or safety pin and simply insert it into the tiny hole above the eject button on the dvd drive itself. You'll feel the tip of the button when you push the pin into the hole then it will pop the door and the drive will open properly. This has gone on for cd/dvd drives for years. Usually just the cause of dust or what have you being stuck in the mechanism.

I have hitachi dz-mv780e and its door opens by itself whenever I turn it on ! or put dvd in it ! I just cant close the door ! access/pc red light keeps on lightin any help plz ?

There is a faulty loading setting in the mechanism and so when the power is switched the motor moves to eject and do not come to the PARK/REST position.
So you will need to open the camcorder to reset the mechanism. check inside of the tray for any objects that have fallen into and blocked the drives. Keeping the door open tap on the body to release any objects.

Aiwa cassette deck won't eject

I had this problem on an AD-S40. Turned out to be the drive belts, which had stretched, resulting in the fact that the motors couldn't drive the mechanism through it's various load cycles of opening/closing the captain roller, etc. as required to operate the mechanism. Stuck in mid-cycle, the doors would not open.

After removing the case cover, you can turn the belt driven wheels by hand to complete the cycle, so that you can eject. Then get new belts (several outfits sell belts based on length, on line). You don't need to do much to replace the belts -- after unlocking and getting the tape out, it was only a couple of screws to remove the mechanism, as a unit, and there is no need to fuse with the circuit boards and such. Easier than I expected.

Cannot eject VHS tape from Sony SLV-X811

I had a similar problem with a Panasonic VCR. It would not eject the tape and gave an error code. I found that the door does not quite fully open, so that the top of the tape hits the door and cannot eject. If I turn off and then turn on the VCR the error code disappears. Then I press the eject button and simultaneously hold the door fully open with one finger until the tape starts to eject and clears the door.

C:32:11 message flashes, cassette eject won't work, camera doesn't work

Just had this problem myself... called Sony. Here is what I did to fix this:

1. Turn off power
2. Open the LCD Display
3. Press "Reset" with paperclip/pen
4. Unplug ANY wires connected to the camcorder
5. Eject battery
6. Plug in DC charger
7. Power on
8. Attempt to eject tape
9. At this point, the metal tape holder comes out but refuses to open... slightly "close" the portion of the camcorder that has the button to eject the tape, and then open it fully again (you'll hear a click, this signals the device that the 'hatch' is open and to eject).
10. The metal door *should* pop out and allow you to withdraw the tape.

I've tried 4 different cassettes and about 2 seconds after hitting play, I get the error every time... my solution: Not going to try to play my tapes on the camcorder anymore... will find another player to play Hi8 MP cassettes. Unknown if able to record to tape as of yet.
