Is there any way to bypass the lockout of the yellow toner empty so I can at least print black & white text till my yellow toner arives?
Thanking you in advance, Bill
You will need to use the menu on the printer itself to change a setting
Press "Menu Select" button to get the menu function
Use the right arrow twice to select "Engine", then press the down arrow to the "Replace Toner" menu
Press the right arrow for the "Toner Empty" menu
Press the down arrow to get the Toner Empty settings
Press the right arrow to change the Toner Empty setting to "Continue"
Press the "Menu Select" button to confirm the setting.
You should be able to print, you just won't have any yellow toner.
When you get your toner cartridge, follow these instructions to reset the 'Toner Empty' setting to Stop so you will know when a toner is out.

Hi, when the printer finished warming up. it will prompt Toner Empty - Stop, use the arrow key changed to continue and you can start printing. remember you must always do that whenever this msg appears.
The printer might be out of one of the colors of toner. Most color laser printers will revert to black and white when either the cyan, magenta, or yellow toners run out. Check to see if any are empty or near empty. Also check the settings on the printer and your computer to make sure that it is set to print in color.
Unfortunatley most printers will not allow you to print if one of the colours are missing or empty.and so you will need the yellow toner to be replaced before you can print. there is a way that sometimes works and that is to remove the toner cartrige and give it a good shake this evenly distributes the toner inside and sometimes make the printer think it has enough toner and allows you to print. As I said this only works sometimes and is not a perfect solution
Specifically on the Magicolor 5430DL you can print when a cartridge is empty, but this is disabled by default. To enable printing even with a toner cartridge empty.Press the Menu Button, then press the right button until the ENGINE menu appears and press the select button.Next press the right button until TONER appears and press SelectOnce in the Toner Menu the first option should be "EMPTY" if not press the right button until you see "EMPTY" and press Select. There are two options, the default is "STOP" pressing the right button once should change from STOP to CONTINUE.While the display reads "CONTINUE" press Select. You should see the message "CONTINUE is selected"You can now print even when one or more cartridges are empty. However, the lack of the cartridge's color will be noticed in any print jobs calling for that color... (Obviously)
Look through the menus on the printer for a setting for "Low Toner" -- the choices of what to do are usually either "continue" or "stop" or something similar (my 2430DL has this option setting) -- set this option to "Continue". My 15 year old HPs also have a similar setting. However, this will keep it printing when the black runs out, so you will need to check your print production run visually as you go along to make sure the quality is what you need
Try taking the color toner containers out of the printer and shaking them a bit. Put them back on and try again. This could confuse the sensors into believing that you still have some toner left.
the problem is cyan and yellow toner are low, u will change the cyan and yellow it will be cleared otherwise the will be empty u can't print any thing suppose one will empty other cartridge will not work
