I've found that this camera does not transfer VIDEO through the USB cable, regardless of what every BestBuy employee tells you. The USB only transfers still pictures from the memory card. The instruction manual is not definitive on this, but most cameras that are MiniDV that have both USB and IEEE1394 ports like this one operate similarly. Get a firewire cable and a firewire card on your pc and you'll be fine.

Next, open device manager (Click Start Menu and type in "Device Manager", right click and run as administrator). Then find your device in the list, and uninstall it. Immediately, unplug the wireless USB from the computer. Now, restart your computer with the USB unplugged. Insert your driver disk and install the driver, when prompted plug the wireless USB back into the computer. Hope this helps.
Do you have the original installation disk that came with the computer? You can try to boot from that CD and do a repair installation. The Cyclic Redundance Check (CRC) error refers to the media the computer is trying to access (either the CD or the hard drive). Try booting into Safe Mode (reboot and press F8 repeatedly until you get a boot menu). From Safe Mode run a checkdisk (chkdsk from command line) on the hard drive to find and repair any found disk issues.
