Lost cord! Hi...I have an altec lansing inmotion im600 docking station/speaker for my ipod and lost the cord. Any idea where I can get a new power cord?? I called altec lansing and they were unable to help...apparently they have discontinued this model. Please help. Thank you SO much! Camille

That is a tough one. Is your iPod fully seated -- will it play music in the im600? Have you tried a different iPod in the im600 to see if it charges? Does your iPod recharge normally in other players, in a wall charger and your computer? If not, your iPod could possibly need a new battery.
Also: since it was unplugged for 3 weeks, you may just need to run the im600 through a full cycle or two (let the FM radio play until the battery is dead, with no iPod in it), then recharge the im600 for 5 or 6 hours, and THEN mount your iPod into it and see if it charges it. Be sure to unplug/plug-in the adapter into the im600 to ensure it is getting full power from the wall outlet. One last thing: the im600 will only charge the iPod when it is plugged into AC power; it won't charge the iPod while it's running on its own battery power. Good luck!

I used a 2G jailbroken iPhone and it worked fine. Try looking elsewhere.
Example: my im600 was placed on a fridge (metal) that caused strange interference problems!!

have you turned the volume up from the speakers and the ipod?
thats usualy a problem people get
they think they have to turn volume up from ipod not dock

2 screws at the back removed with a cross head screwdriver. Remove the casing, then the battery plugs in to a white connector.

YES.. it possibly the caused why your ipod was damaged.

My IM600 did the same thing to me, here my solution:
1) Turn offand disconnect power cord
2) Take battery out (2 small screws on the back)
3) Disconnect battery
4) Short circuit all 3 battery terminals (with this you make sure battery is not in a latency/histeresis state)
5) Leave open and disconnected for a couple of hours
6) Assemble all back
7) Turn it on and it works
8) If it doesn't replace battery
