The 5700 has a Lifetime Warranty for as long as you own it. They will repair or replace.

I have owned a Black & Decker Powershot before. Throw it away. They are **** . Stick with a Arrow or Craftsman. I didn't like the Black & Decker and gave it to a friend that was looking for a staple gun. He threw it away ! Worst excuse for a staple gun I've ever seen. Awkward to use and preforms on a scale of 1 to 10 , doesn't even hit 1 !

You've got a good bit of choice, it will handle any of the following. 1/4-Inch thru 9/16-Inch heavy duty PowerShot and Arrow T50 staples and 9/16-Inch PowerShot brad nails

Hi Julia,

You have the right size staples. The problem is the length of the refills. Some staplers can't accommodate a full length clip.

Break the staple refill clip in half, then insert it. The shank will be able to close and latch that way.
