Emachine battery won't take a charge

Laptop works fine when plugged in to adaptor but battery will not take a charge. Have already contacted Acer/Emachine helpline and had new battery replaced (but it took a month). Don't want to lose laptop to customer care department for another month and wondered if there was something I could do myself.

Batery won't charge new battery n plug

You may have the wrong AC adaptor, Dell is very picky when it comes to Power adaptors, it must be original OEM Dell for the laptop to recognize it, any after market no name brand even though it has the right specs and is made for your model will power your laptop but the circuit to charge your battery will automatically be closed

Battery won't charge

Sounds like you have a broken AC plug. You can buy them cheap and disassemble the laptop and soldier the new one in but unless your electronically capable I wouldn't try it yourself. You can Google your laptop model number and watch videos to help if you insist on doing it yourself.

I have a new e627 used only once before today. Battery connection was partially out and screen indicated low battery. After five minutes screen went black and now I cannot power up.

Maybe your battery is totally drained.

Try to connect the AC adaptor of your laptop and plug it to the wall outlet and let it charge for 3 hours or more. When you plug it on the wall socket, it won't show the laptop's led blinking since it was totally drained. But after 3 minutes or more, it will start to show the blinking led to indicate charging. When blinking stops led light disappears, it is fully charged and ready to use.

Remember: Do not use your laptop while it is plugged in to save your battery life. When at home, remove the battery while it is fully charged and plug the AC adaptor directly to the wall outlet. It will still work without the battery as long as it is plugged directly to the wall socket.

Says plugged in not charging

Take out the battery and make sure you can turn on the laptop with just the AC Adaptor hooked up.

If you can then you know the AC Adaptor is good. Try another known good working battery in the laptop, if the battery charges then you know that the old battery is bad.

If the laptop doesn't charge with a know working battery or a new one then you know that the motherboard is bad.

Ac adapter will not charge my computer

If the laptop will run from the adaptor, then the adaptor is probably fine. That being the case, if the charge light flashes when the adaptor is plugged in, the battery is faulty. No charge light on an otherwise working system is probably the battery charging circuit in the laptop.

Inspiron laptop Battery won't charge

Try taking out battery and plug in power. If it works, battery is faulty. If not,
Try taking out your hard disk plug in power, if it works, hard disk is faulty. If not,
Try taking out memory card, if there's a sound, memory card faulty. If no sound, it's your motherboard that is causing the error.

Note: If machine is under warranty no need to pay for the repairs.

Acer Aspire 3003 Power plug not making contact

You've probably damaged the dc power jack by trying to get contact. Local repair shop should be able to repair it for $100 and below. I wouldn't recommend going diy unless you're good with stuff like this.

Want stay charged

Sounds like a bad battery cause its not keeping a charge. Try a new or known good battery and see if it will charge and then unplug the ac adaptor to see if the laptop stays on.

If the laptop stays on with a different battery charged then your old battery is bad. If your laptop doesn't stay on with a known good or new charged battery without the ac adaptor hooked up then its a bad motherboard.

Hi, i have a samsung v25 laptop and there is a problem with the charging. the power adaptor flickers on and off when it is plugged into the laptop causing it not to charge properly. when it is not...

This is a problem with the power adapter that you may need to replace it already since that is causing the laptop not to work properly.

Hope that helps..........
