Problem with jvc-avx1 car dvd player.

I just install the new jvc kd-avx1. I did not install the cable for hand break. I could can hear radio and cd. come to dvd it does not show the movie. but it give me sound only. no video. Please help me.

    I have bought an overseas incar DVD player and, I am having a similar problem. the difference is that when i installed it i just soldiered the handbrake wire to a free wire, im not sure if this is the same as grounding can any one help me

Hi there . just connect the parking wire to a ground (negative).

Actually it works better if you just ground the hand brake wire. by securing a section of exposed wir with on of the main body screws.

    Iv tried that but the parking brake keeps flashing
    Could it be a fault in the DVD player itself?

Wrap the handbrake wire around the antenna cable, video will work like a charm

your car probably wont have one this wire is designed to be hooked to the park brake switch wire so you cannot watch movies going down road.as this is illegal. the wire gorunds when park brake is pressed. splice it into the wire on brake

Zone
The dual zone control on the KD-AVX1 is only for playback of two seperate devices.For example an audio cd or dvd in the head unit is played through the front speakers and an external device like an i-pod,cd changer or any other AV device will play through the rear speakers.Either way you need an external audio or AV device for the dual zone to work.I hope this helps..
