Candy CPCA240FFK Clicking Noise

HI I hope someone can help.. My Candy CPCA240FFk has started making a clicking/tapping noise it seems to come from the back but not near the bottom. This isn't continous but is getting annoying maybe on for a few seconds then off again. Even when its first powered down I can hear it. temperature wise its fine and no major ice build up or anything. As I live in a small flat is annoying at night time. Any suggestions?

The machine will go into an automatic defrost ever few hours. if u can imagine a big block of ice, then all of a sudden a massive amount of heat is passed thru it, it will crack. that could most likely be the sound. or sometimes to internal gas pipe work is to close to the insulation. to stop the noise, look for the disc on the back wall where the thermostat is fixed to . remove it carefully and inject 30ml of liquid parafin( get from chemist) with a small syringe thru the hole where the thermostat disc was fixed to the back wall. this will lube the pipe work. I worked as a hoover/candy engineer and this is a common compliant,

Candy cpca240ffk compressor running.

i don't have a diagram but im familiar with that problem its either a bad relay on the compressor a bad thermal over load in the relay box mounted on the compressor terminals or a bad compressor don't know where you live im in usa here you can get an after market relay with a start capacitor and if its not the compressor will fix the problem

If you have the owners manual it should say what that means but I'll see if I can find an operation manual or tech manual online and get back to you.
