Replace the temperature sensor. It is usually located in the upper left corner of the oven (inside). Two screws hold it in place and, if you're lucky, you can pull out the junction to disconnect the old and connect the new one. Do this with the power off, Please!

The oven keeps beeping code F4.

Hi

F4 Error indicates a loose/broken wire on the oven temp sensor or the oven temp. sensor itself is bad and should be replaced. To solve this issue test the oven temp. sensor, it should read between 1080-1120 ohms, if the rating is more then that and the door appears to be closing fine then it is the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

When baking in top oven for any period of time my oven will start beeping with an F4 blinking on the oven temp screen? What is it trying to tell me?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F4 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. However, I believe it is the sensor as the problem is only with bottom oven. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

F3 f4 gaas oven when preheated these numbers appear it beeps and shuts off

Hi, replace the oven temperature sensor if "F2," "F3" or "F4" is displayed. "F2" indicates the oven temperature is too hot and the oven temperature sensor is suspect. "F3" or "F4" indicates the oven temperature sensor or shorted or open.

Oven wont light gaves F4

Hi, the F4 error code means Open or shorted oven temperature sensor (RTD)..
Check sensor harness and harness connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor (RTD) if wiring is ok.

F4 code Dacor oven

F4 means there is an open circuit in the Oven Temperature Sensor. Could be a bad sensor that needs replacing, cound be an issue with the wiring harness.

A test would be to short the sensor wire together at the sensor. the error code should change to F3. then you would know it is the sensor and not the harness.

F4

luvin, F4 is a shorted oven sensor. Under 950 ohms. Should read 1060 ohms at room temp. The sensor is located in the upper left hand corner of the rear oven wall. Remove the 2 screws and it will pull out enough to remove the connector. Catriver.
