My printer has been working fine until a few hours ago. Suddenly I can't print pdfs, the jobs are automatically stopped. I can print other types of documents fine.
I have a mac OSX 10.4 operating system. I installed some software updates recently, but have printed pdfs since then no problem.
Ink cartridges are all full.

There is a limit to how long the TCS500 can print and it also works with the file size. PDFs can appear to be small, but when un-compressed to printer data it can be enormous. Try flattening the file by converting into a TIF.
Right click on the desktop and create a new Text Document, rename it spooler.bat
Be sure your computer is set to display file extensions otherwise you will end up with a file called spooler.bat.txt but the .txt will not be displayed. Right click on the file and select edit. type the following:
net stop spooler
net start spooler
Save the file.
Between print jobs, run this by right clicking on the file and Run as Administrator. Maybe restarting the spooler will work and you will not have to reboot.
Your printer loose documents:try to reset it ,unplug for an hour.
Or you might have interferences on your wireless :DECT phone, cell phone, or even an electric device who doesn't work propely, like tv, stove, speakers many things can parasites your connection...
If nothing does your printer as issues, think replacement...
I had the same problem until recently. You have to install the drivers FROM THE CD that came with the printer, instead of selecting the drivers from the default list. Then, when selecting which printer driver to use (you'll have two options) choose Canon IJ and NOT Canon MX310 series. This is a problem with their MX310 driver, which is solved using a default/generic Canon InkJet (hence, the IJ) driver. Hope this helps!
P.S. This only works on Mac OS X. I have yet to figure out how to print wirelessly through Vista. Will keep you posted.
hey wildd, Try unplugging the printer from the electrical source for "several" minutes. Shutdown the computer too. Turn on the printer, then turn on the computer. If that doesn't work go the whole mile. Uninstall all printers and software. download the latest drivers from Epson.
This link is to the epson site and your machine. Download the drivers from here.
Have you had any paper jams lately? Make sure there aren't any pieces of paper stuck or any other debris. How about the print properties, or open print jobs? what does it show when the job stops.
Let me know what happens.
