Air conditioner danby dpac12030

Hey! I have a Danby Silhouette DPAC12030 that isn't draining into the reserve.. water goes to a spout in the back of unit that at this time does not have a hose attached to it. How would I switch it back to emptying into that little reserve container?

SOURCE: We have 2 Danby air

You can purchase similar hoses at most home improvement center. Take a section of the old hose with you to get the right diameter and use the existing fittings to attach them to the unint and the window exhaust. What you may find is a better quality hose/duct, than what came with the unit. You may have to buy more than you need in length, but then you'll have some left over, if you ever have to replace it again.

Hope this helped. Good luck.

SOURCE: I have a Danby DPAC12030

Generally, it is a clog from airborne dust and lint, that's picked up by the unit while in operation.
Clearing the tubing usually solves the problem. You can use an appropriately sized 18" long plastic Zip Tie or a long pipe cleaner, But, NO wire coat hangers. Be sure the unit is OFF & unplugged before attempting any cleaning. When you remove the buckets, look for either a drain hole or a drain tube in the top of the bucket cavities. Carefully insert the Zip Tie or Pipe Cleaner into the hole or tube and continue to insert it, until you reach a bend in the tubing. Gingerly, work it past this bend, unit it bottoms out or you run out of Usable Zip Tie. The slowly remove it while rotating (twisting) it. This will dislodge any clogs As you reach the inserted tip, be prepared, as some water may follow.

I hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa..

My danby DPAC 12030 is leaking water down the front

Since, I believe your model s a multifunction unit (Air Conditioner and Dehumidifier), Which can be operated together or separately. There are two things which may be causing this problem. If the dehumidifier function is operating the water collection tank o bucket may be full and needs to be emptied. In conjunction with this, the air intake filter on the inside front of the unit may be dirty or clogged.

There is a third thing that is also playing a role in this. The tubing that drains the water into the tank may be clogged. Which causes the water to backup and overflow. You can clear any clogs by using an 18" long, plastic Zip Tie, that is appropriately sized to fit inside the tube or hole. Insert it carefully and work it in past the bend in the tube, until the Zip Tie bottoms out or you run out of usable Zip Tie. The rotate (twist) it as you carefully remove it. As you reach the end of the Zip Tie, be prepared for some water to follow. CAUTION: BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY SERVICE OF THE UNIT, TURN THE MASTER ON/OFF SWITCH TO OFF & UNPLUG THE UNIT FROM THE ELECTRICAL OUTLET.

Also keep in mind When dehumidify mode is selected, the indicator light will shine ORANGE. Air is
dehumidified as it passes through the unit, without being in full cooling mode. The fan will operate on medium speed. If room temperature is 25°C (77°F), fan speed can be adjusted; otherwise fan speed is fixed to "low". Note: The warm air exchange hose must vent inside the room when using Dehumidify Mode, not outside as it does when cooling. If the unit is vented outside, some cooling will occur.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot and solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

Cuts in and out

sounds like very low on freon which also keeps the motor running cooler...suggest a refill because of its large btu capacity, but expensive maybe...get quotes.
