Unit not drying properly

I have the Zanussi TD4212W tumble dryer which is about 6yrs old and have noticed over a short period of time that it is taking longer to dry stuff. The tumbler is going round and there is some heat pushing through but it dosent seem to be as hot as it used to be. Can anybody help. Regard Michael.

Dryer seems to be taking twice as long to dry clothes (very expensive!)
As yet have not tried anything but need to get repaired before the winter.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

I suggest you pull out your lint trap and inspect it and where it fits for a blockage. Also check the vent for any blockage. Then take out the lint trap and run it under cold water. If it holds water, wash it with warm water and soap then throw away your dryer sheets.

All dryers have at least 2 thermostats 1)for the lower heat and2)for the higher heat if the no1 thermostat goes down it will not heat at all but if no2 thermostat goes down it will only heat up to about 60deegrees so replace the higher heat stat this should resolve the problem for u m8

Tumble dryer not drying properly

Make sure your dryer vent is clean. This can get clogged with lint over a period of time. Make sure to check both inside and outside vents

Hi, My Zanussi TD 4112 W tumble dryer which is generally in mint condition suddenly stopped heating. Its still blows and rotates etc but its just cool air. I've checked all the easy things such as...

Could also be improper voltage going to unit or a half tripped breaker sending only 110v. Could be be a thermostat or thermal limiter. Could be timer or motor also. Many different possibilities

My dryer is not shutting off/no heat

The cycle timer motor is bad. Easily replaced and you can do it yourself. Does the dryer normally heat when drying?

Zanussi TC484W

There may be a capacitor in the motor circuit which has shorted out. The capacitor helps the motor start. If the capacitor is shorted, the motor won't start by itself, but will run fine if urged by hand. Good luck.
