I have the Zanussi TD4212W tumble dryer which is about 6yrs old and have noticed over a short period of time that it is taking longer to dry stuff. The tumbler is going round and there is some heat pushing through but it dosent seem to be as hot as it used to be. Can anybody help. Regard Michael.
I suggest you pull out your lint trap and inspect it and where it fits for a blockage. Also check the vent for any blockage. Then take out the lint trap and run it under cold water. If it holds water, wash it with warm water and soap then throw away your dryer sheets.

Dryer will also be fitted with an exhaust thermostat which can cause low heat problems to.

All dryers have at least 2 thermostats 1)for the lower heat and2)for the higher heat if the no1 thermostat goes down it will not heat at all but if no2 thermostat goes down it will only heat up to about 60deegrees so replace the higher heat stat this should resolve the problem for u m8

Dryer seems to be taking twice as long to dry clothes (very expensive!)
As yet have not tried anything but need to get repaired before the winter.
Any advice would be appreciated.
