Re: i need the software...
Plug the camera into the PC normally. Open My Computer and you will see an extra drive listed -- this is your camera.
Double click this drive to open it and save the contents to a folder (My Pictures?). Now open them with your image editor.

The software CD would not help you unless you have a very old OS. Your best option is to invest ($10 - $15, sometimes less) in a CF card reader with a USB connector. If you have Windows XP or newer, or any version of Mac OS X, your computer will see the card reader (and your card) as a separate drive, and you will be able to download the pictures right off the card.
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).
IF you are using Xp , just plug in camera with USB lead . Open MY COMPUTER find the icon for the camera( usually found after the DVD/cd drives ) adn just drag or use the move command to move the requiredfiles to where ever you want . I NEVER use the Olympus software too long winded . Hope it helps :)
I am sorry I don't have a solution for you, but noticed that there is an upgrade for the software that is available from rca. I have no idea if it will work with vista. I tried to download it myself for my xp machine, but since I lost the original cd the upgrade will not work. if you cannot use your cd can you send it to me, I lost mine and I cannot get the pictures off my unit from 2 years ago. where do you live? email me at [email protected] if you can send it to me. I live in Arizona USA thanks
