Manual Hi ,I've got a black and decker coffee maker TCM700 as a present and misplaced the manual now i can't make it work , can you help?

Just bought my Black and Decker coffee maker(2 days ago). Model CM2020B, 12 cup. The digital display for the clock does not light up. Is it supposed to?
As you can see from this photo, the B&D Model CM2020B digital display screen is supposed to light up when the coffee maker is plugged into a working electric plug. You couldn't control/operate the machine if it did not. The machine is useless without it. Bring it back to the seller.

Black & Decker TCM800 won't go all the way through brewing cycle
I have the TCM700 and it would turn off before the brew completed.  This was because it had some sort of buildup from use.  The manual recommended to brew with white vinager and water.  The exact mix was in the manual, but my wife just did all vinager.  Worked great.

Black & Decker TCM700 Coffee Maker problem
All coffe makers have a thermal cutoff fuse located on the bottom heating plate. It is usually in series with one of the leads to the actual heater. This should read "short" with an ohm meter. If it is "open" it needs replacement. They are rated in Degrees celsius, and are sometimes difficult to find. Black and Decker may be able to send you one.
