Instant DVD Recorder 2.6.1 UPDATER

• Please install the Instant DVD Recorder 2.6.1 UPDATER if you are using the Dazzle DVD Video Recorder, Dazzle Video Creator or Dazzle Video Creator Platinum with a previous version of Instant DVD Recorder. This updater also includes the hardware drivers.
• If you are using a Dazzle product already that includes Instant DVD Recorder version 2.6.1, then you do not need to install this update.

Installation Instruction:

• To be able to install this version, you must own an Instant DVD Recorder Version 2.x full version
• To install this Instant DVD Recorder version not as an update but as a full version you need to enter your Instant DVD Recorder Version 2.x serial number during the installation process. The serial number was included in your Dazzle product.
• With Windows Vista 64 bit or Windows 7 64 bit, you need to install Instant DVD recorder 2.6.1 as a full version.
• If you own an Instant DVD Recorder Version 1.x full version, to only install Instant DVD Recorder 2.6.1 full version.
• If you use this Instant DVD Recorder Updater to update the Instant DVD Recorder included with Studio Version 12, 11 or 10, please make sure that Instant DVD Recorder is already installed on you system. Please note that the version of Instant DVD Recorder included with Studio Version 12, 11 or 10 can't be installed under Windows Vista 64.

Make sure you're running the latest update to your version of Sibelius from
Sound and other hardware: Make sure you have updated to the latest drivers for your sound card, printer and graphics card for your operating system.

It looks like both of them will take a 64 bit operating system. You can't mess it up...if your computer is not compatible, it won't install.

If you don't have an operating system, I highly recommend Windows 7 over Vista. It is way better on resources and does a lot more with less memory. If you install Windows 7 -64 bit, you would be VERY happy with your system. It is possible to do a complete install without a keycode to see if you like it. Just hit next where it asks for the keycode and it will install, and it will give you 30 days to put a keycode in and activate it. That way you can get a disk, usually for about $5 or $10, (without a product key) (oh, and not from a store) and install it, you just won't be able to activate it...that way you can see what you like first.

You can use the Upgrade option during Windows 7 installation, which preserves your files, settings, and programs, only if you're currently running a 32-bit version of Windows Vista and you want to upgrade to the 32-bit version of Windows 7. Similarly, if you are running a 64-bit version of Windows Vista, you can only perform an upgrade to a 64-bit version of Windows 7. If you want to move from a 32-bit version of Windows to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or vice versa, you'll need to back up your files and choose the Custom option during Windows 7 installation. Then, you'll need to restore your files and reinstall your programs. For more information about performing a custom installation, see Installing and reinstalling Windows 7‍.
Notes

• To install a 64-bit version of Windows 7 on a computer running a 32-bit version of Windows, you'll need to start, or boot, your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files.
  
• If you start your computer using a 64-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files, but your computer isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 7 installation disc or files instead.

The fact that MS Net 1.1 framework is compatible with the 32-bit version of Vista - because I am using Print Shop 23 on my 32-bit version of Vista.

However, Print Shop 23 is not supported on the 64-bit version of Vista. and MS Net 1.1 framework is not compatible with the 64-bit version of Vista. So, I would guess that you are using a 64-bit version of Vista.

I have heard that one way to work around compatibility issues with MS Net 1.1 framework is to make sure you have the latest update installed for MS Net 1.1 framework. But, since I'm not sure that that is the only recommended fix for your problem, the best thing for you to do would probably be to click on this link

You will find the 32 bit browser on your Vista installation disk. Or your restore CD from Dell.

If you can't find it there, you can download it HERE. Or may want to go for the IE version 8.

Do you have all your updates from Microsoft?Does your version of Vista have Service pack 1 installed?

Errors on install of sibelius:

Luckily, there is a installation assistant that solves this problem! You can visit the help page here, there you can download an install assistant. Once downloaded simply run it and follow the on screen instructions.

Errors on start up of Sibelius:

If you have AVG antivirus, Google Desktop or Adobe acrobat pro installed. Then you can experience start up problems when opening sibelius.

I found that if you download updates for all three programs (or just the ones you have). Then sibelius will start up properly.

I just uninstalled google desktop as i did not need it and updated avg.
