I purchased this machine 5 years ago. It has been working fine up until a few months ago when the steamer spout started spitting water. It is getting worse. I have not tried to fix this problem.
I have inquired at a local small appliance repair shop about fixing this but they need to know who made the machine.
Can you help?
Yea, that happens to me. Try this way....Turn on the Barista, wait til the the steam's green light, then push the steamer button on, wait for a good 1 minute. It should be blowing hot air by then. Good Luck

First, if water comes out of the wand while you are brewing coffee then the valve has a problem, it might need to be replaced or the pressure buildup is forcing water through. Remove the shower screen and screw in the head and clean, then descale the machine using Scalekleen, vinegar is no the best thing for descaling the machine.
from what i can see they have pumpo issues..... try your warranty although i guess that'd be long gone after your many "years" of ownership....
anyway, get an expresso machine, they produce much better coffee by far :)
Try opening the frothing valve by turning the dial and force water through it instead of steam by pressing the middle, coffee button. You may be experiencing vapor lock. Once the water comes through the steamer valve, turn the steamer knob off and release the coffee button. Then try the steamer button with the steamer dial open. This may do the trick.
