No coffee comes out of the coffee spout, it instead displays the message "FILL SYSTEM/PRESS STEAM". When you press the steam button hot water comes out of the steam nozzle, and dry ground coffee is deposited in the tray.
The same thing happens when you attempt to rinse or clean the unit, instead of the water coming out the coffee spout as it's supposed to, the "FILL SYSTEM/PRESS STEAM" message comes on, and when the stem button is pressed the water comes out the steam nozzle instead.
