If it sounds kinda like "clunk...whir, clunk whir" or maybe "clunka clunka clunka" your hard drive is toast. There are some utilities that say they can realign the platen and heads but my experience is that if they do fix it...its just long enough for you to lose more data in two weeks. usually your data is lost...there are clean rooms like Cherry Systems that can clean room recover your data...but get your checkbook out.. Good luck

My I Pad will not open to access my emails

You may have too many app open ... even after shutdown.
Double click the home button. The line at the bottom is all the open apps. Hold your finger on one of them until they wiggle with a "-" circle in the corner. Tap the circles to close them and open memory. Then try you Mail again.

Samsung LCD HD TV Model # LN-S4041D > 4 years old - working fine until today - While watching TV, I heard 2 loud beeps and the TV image was lost - initially frozen pixels and some moments later .......

Th clicking is from the power relay. You will have to open it up, the first place to look will be the power supply module, look to see if it has any bad caps with leaking/bulging tops first, caps can look OK but can be bad due to high ESR.

If you are going to DIY and have proper tools, electronics knowledge, and know safety precaution then please read on:

Hello :

It seems that you have a software problem with your NUVI . You need to reset it to solve the problem .

1:Turn the Nuvi on.

2:Touch the tools icon on the main screen. The tools icon is represented by a wrench surrounded by a blue circle.

3:Touch the "Settings" icon which appears as a wrench.

4:Push the "Restore" button at the bottom of the screen. A confirmation message will appear asking to confirm restoring the Nuvi to factory settings. Push yes to restore the factory settings
............................................................................................
Try this for hard reset .

Turn off Garmin device. Press down on bottom right corner of the touchscreen [ Don't let go ] , and then power on the GPS unit. You should be prompted whether do you really want to erase all user data, or asked if do you really want to start up in maintenance mode. Press “Yes” to reset (warning: all data will be erased and lost, so backup before proceeding) or enter maintenance mode.

My daughter's iPod producing a strange clicking like the unit is trying to boot off up. The Apple icon appears for a short time and is followed by a red "circle-x" and a website. I've followed Apples...

check to see if your ipod is under warranty, if so take it to an apple store.

if i were you i would manually reset your ipod and immediately after you see the apple logo smack hard on its side on a sofa or padded carpet. If you do it right you will hear the hard drive make a weird noise and then make a clicking sound and your ipod should work

You have nothing to loose, the most apple will do for you is offer you a 10% discount off any new ipod (no matter how damaged the ipod)
