The current firmware is version 2.1.2. Use this link to get to the Canon download page. Scroll all the way down to āDrivers and Downloadsā. Select āFirmwareā and then the appropriate version for Windows or Mac.
49.xxxx error is a catch all. Could be bad firmware, bad network, bad print job, etc.
Power off your PC. Power off the printer. Power on the printer then the PC. Do you have the 49 error now? If not print something, but not what you printed when you got the error. If you are still good, try printing something else. Still good, the error probably went away. If it errors again, somebody will have to look at it. Maybe upgrade the firmware or replace the formatter. How old is the printer? Is it still on warranty?
The best thing you can do is take the phone into your provider. It might have a firmware problem, and in that case they might be able to flash it or advise you on the course of action to take. They can probably verify if the phone is good or bad, so that they can fix it, or you can return it.
Good luck, and hope this helps.
Try to upgrade the firmware of the router. Firmware is the software of the router. Download the latest firmware of the router. Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the firmware of the router. Open the set up page of the router and upgrade the firmware of the router. Once you upgrade the firmware of the router, reset the router. On the router you will find a small reset button, hold it down for 30 seconds. release it. wait for 1 minute. Now unplug the power to the router and plug it back in. Now you will need to reconfigure the router according to the Internet service provider.
