can't get connection with mouse or keyboard

  • Bene918 Feb 13, 2008

I have the wireless keyboard and mouse that come with my HP laptop (Vista OS). Sometimes the keyboard nor the mouse will work and I have to reboot. Other times the keyboard will work but the mouse has no pointer - this happens after the computer has been left alone for awhile. It appears that the mouse is on because I see icons flash in various places on the screen as I move the mouse. There is no driver upgrade and the device manager says both keyboard and mouse are working propertly. Any suggestions?

if it is it should have a 802.11 wireless controller built into it and a rj45 ethernet connection.
Please explain what is on the other end do you have a wireless router to connect to ? Does this work with other devices or is this a new setup. Do you have a user manual does it have 802.11 built into it. Using other cards how are you using other cards are they usb devices plugged into the usb interface. They would need the correct driver installed and if the tablet has a wireless adapter built in they would conflict with each other . The windows xp running on the tablet would most likely be a special version that runs on tablets if it is a tablet.
