First, am in the wrong club (F10, mines F11) sorry if I am. The PROBLEM - since disconnecting my camera from my desktop without shutting down the fine pix software first, it wont start up any more. Whats more "My PC" doesnt even have it as a device. That is the connection to the camera is completely ignored by the PC. I dont think its the camera because I can connect to other PC's. I have lost the installation CD, but information I have seen on the internet suggests that it should connect even without the finepix viewing software. Any help appreciated Regards Rupert
Hey You can try and update/find the software here http://www.fujifilm.com/products/digital/download/index.html Also you can find your camera as a external drive and upload the pics from there the old way Tom

One suggestion is to update your camera firmware it may solve your problem. below is the report from the web: Firmware Update for FinePix F10 - Windows Purpose of File: This Firmware (Ver.1.02) update will revise the internal software of the FinePix F10 digital camera. Installation of this update is optional. It incorporates the following nhancements: 1) Correction of English displayed on the LCD monitor 2) Updates the compatibility of the PictBridge function with some printers 3) Correction of an error that would not allow some computers to start up if the camera was connected and turned on. follow the below link to get the firmware: http://www.cameratown.com/firmware/index.cfm/hurl/pid|43870011
