Question about Hoover SteamVac F5914-900 SpinScrub Upright Vacuum
I would almost guarantee the recovery tank is not seated properly. Trust me, I reseated the tank 5-10 times before giving up. I finally decided to give it one more try before forking out the money for another cleaner. I removed the clean water tank, turned the machine on (you could feel the air blowing out the sides on the bottom). With the machine still running, I unclipped the recovery tank and lifted it up (yes, you can do this, and it creates a very loud air thrust, but don't be scared), then I SLAMMED it back down into the seat and immediately I could tell the difference. The air stopped blowing from underneath and I could tell I had suction once again. I turned it off, put the clean water tank back on, and it worked like a charm. Trust me, you may be convinced that the recovery tank is seated properly.....LOL.....it ain't! Hope this helps!

I had the problem too. Try taking off the top of the recovery tank and put it back on making sure it's tight. Mine wasn't on tight so it wouldn't create the vacuum. Works like new now :)
