Raebarb,
I had the same problem, you can fix it without an expensive watch maker. The online instructions are not perfect, but are better than the ones that come with the watch. Go to www.michele.com/.../Michele/.../instructions/michele_instructions.pdf
Refer to page # 10 "Adjusting the Chronograph Hands to Zero Position" even though these instructions refer to adjusting only 2 hands on a different model, with a little playing around you can reset all 4 hands. The trick is to pull out the stem, 2 clicks to position III and then using buttons A and B. You will have to do the 2 hands then push the stem back in. Repeat the process and reset the other 2 hands.

Good luck, YOU can do it, I just did.

Instruction for accutime xoxo watch

This watch appears to be a battery operated model from the details I can find. Self Winding watches tend to be a LOT more expensive and usually a Big brand name! Assuming the Chronograph is designed to work the two buttons are usually 'Start/Stop', (top button) and 'Reset', (bottom button). Try this.

-Press the top button once. The smaller dials should start moving.
-Press the top button again. The smaller dials should stop moving.
-Press the bottom button once. The dials should reset to zero. There is another function of the Reset button. You can 'Freeze' the chronograph display for things like lap times.

-Start the chronograph, (Top button once).
-Press the Reset button once, (Bottom button). The dials should stop. The chronograph is still running you have simply paused the display.
-Press the Reset button again. The dials should 'Jump' to the current position the timer is at.
-Press the Top button once to stop the chronograph. *Note* Some of the cheaper watches simply have the dials and buttons for the look of it and don't actually work.

My michele watch keeps time for a few hours then stops. I have a brand new battery in it.

Hey, I am having the same issue. After a few hours, time stops but if i pull out the crown and push back in, I'm back in business, but after a few hours same thing. Make since the stop watch is on and i am having the worst time figuring out how to turn it off. The chronograph instructions for the Deco are not easy to understand.

How it works invicta clock mechanism ?

Your watch is battery powered or a 'quartz' watch. It is commonly refered to as a 'chronograph'. That is another word for stop watch. As well as telling time and the date, your watch can time how long an event lasts. For example, a horse race. You start the chronograph or stop watch when the horse starts and stop it when it crosses the finish line. When the next horse starts you need set it back to zero to time the next race.Operation is simple. The upper push button starts and stops the chronograph. Try it. Now with the chronograph stopped, push the bottom button. The hand return to the 12 o'clock position or the 'zero' position. Also notice the small dials on the dial or face of the watch. They record minutes and other increments of time. The large hand going around when you push the upper button is recording seconds. Hope this helps, Michael

I just recieved my Movado 800 series watch today and the large chronograph timer hand won't reset to zero (top of dial @ 12 o'clock) when I press the zero button. It resets to 56 minute position....

you do not need to return, as this is re-settable. Pull out crown to the first position (date setting) and then toggle with upper push button. If upper button do not do the job, try the bottom one. When you reach 12, then push the crown back in. Start the chrono, stop it and check if it returns to 12.

I just purchased a Michele chronograph watch and need assistance with stopping the "seconds counter". I don't know if it's suppose to constantly run or not. I also noticed my second hand seems...

It might have something to do with the timing function. Perhaps when you're not wearing it, you pull the stem out but not all the way? If it's pulled to the second notch and hit one of the 2 pusher buttons, you may be stopping it. And likewise, perhaps you're starting the seconds counter? Google Michele watch instructions for the PDF instruction manual for details.

I have a sport watch fossil CH2470. the second hand is not moving, stuck on 12, but everything else works. how do i fix this?

Your watch is Chronograph watch and the big centre seconds hand is for chronograph function only - not day to day seconds counting. Check the small dials and you will see that the small seconds hand is already counting seconds- this small one is seconds counter. To engage chrono hand push the upper push button once. To stop it - push the same button again. to return to zero- push lower button. Want to use larger second hand and set other to zero. have small one working now and the larger one would work if i pressed the top button on side of watch now it wont do anything if i press button dont...

This watch is a chronograph. The true second hand is the one you mentioned that is currently running (what is called the subdial hand).

To use the chronograph hand,

1) Press the button at the 2:00 location to start timing.
2) Press the button at the 2:00 location to stop timing.
3) Press the button at the 4:00 position to reset the chronograph hand(s) to zero.

To reset the chronograph hands to zero, set the crown to either click position one (usually date setting) or two (usually time setting), and use each button to test which subdial hand it will zero out.

Usually it is the first crown click position, and pressing the 2:00 or 4:00 button to zero out.

Warning: Leaving the chronograph function running will drain your watch battery much faster than using the standard second hand, as it is a complication meant for the purpose of timing an activity or other event.

If this does not zero your watch, you must either send it back to Michele, or visit your nearest Certified Master Horologist to assess the issue, as the movement may have a defect.
