Printing in reverse order

I have checked the box so that printing is done in reverse (page one on top) but for some reason over the last couple of days it is printing the otherway and I have to uncheck the box to get it to print in reverse. I have downloaded the latest driver from the canon website but this did not make any difference. What can I do

Thanks for the help - the problem is fixed now - it was only happening in Word so I used the 'detect and repair' in Help and restoring the defaults - something in that worked...

    Thanks again for your advice

You might have two programs trying to run your printer and they are in conflict. Check your settings in both your "Word processing program" and check under "printer and faxes" on your Start menu or from the control panel. See if they are the same. They should be. Open your word program and print any document using "print" from the File tab. Also look for "print set up" or Page setup". Printer settings can be there too. Click on properties for the printer when it shows you the printer box. Check all your settings. Simplest way is to simnply un-install the printer and let Windows re-install it. Use the new drivers when it asks for it. That should clear it up. If it doesn't it has some other setting I don't know about.

It prints multiple pages in reverse order. How does one change that so that Page 1 comes out on top.

Most inkjet printers print the first page on the bottom, second page on top, etc. To get the first page on top, you can check the "print in reverse order" in the printer setup dialog.

Always prints from back page to front page can this be changed

The print screen for the printer should have a check box for 'reverse the pages printed'. For some reason this sounds like it is selected. Uncheck the box and you should be able to print from page 1.

How can I reverse the order of printing pages?..I have a Cannon and MAC

When you click print, and IF a Print Window opens, then it should allow you to click a button on that window to change the Print Properties. There should be a choice for "reverse order" and you just need to unclick that choice.

My printer prints pages

The print job properties screens vary depending upon your OS and the version of your printer software. When you click "Print..." from the File menu in an application, the current job properties come up. You need to look for a box that you can tick or un-tick that has to do with reversing the print order of the resulting pages.

Go to Print properties and you will find an option which says print last page first. Check that box and it should print the documents in reverse order.

Reverse printing

Open your printers/faxes folder, right click the printer you want to change, select properties. In that window, click on printing preferences. Click on the next to last icon (should be an A with a red arrow going to an upside down A). On that screen is an option to reverse print. Click on it.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

I need to change printing pages from last to first page first

the last printed page is always on top. For a long document, it takes a while to resort and place the first page first! This is how you can get Microsoft Word to reverse the print order and save all the trouble.
I have spent so much time resorting documents after printing. On my printer, the last page printed is always on top. By printing the last page first (reverse order), the document is already correctly sorted.
Here is how to do it:
1. Open Microsoft Word
2. Open the document to be printed
3. Click the Tools menu
4. Select Options
5. Click the Print tab
6. Check the Reverse Print Order option
7. Select OK
Now, all your documents will prevent in reverse order. What a lifesaver!!!

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
