GE Profile Stove, stove top works but the oven will not heat up.

Just getting ready to make dinner.  I browned my chicken w/o a problem on the stovetop.  Then went to preheat the oven, and it's not heating up.  My husband will be home shortly and will be starving as always.  Any assistance will be appreciated!

You will most likely have to replace the oven igniter. If you have the model number you posted under, I believe the igniter for the broiler is the same as the oven broiler, and could be swapped out to get the oven working again. (of course, now the broiler won't work until that igniter is replaced) If you'd like the part number or any further advise, comment back with the full model number off the sticker just behind the lower drawer panel on the frame of the range. Tonight, you may have to finish the chicken on the stove top.

The part number for the igniter used on your model is WB2X9154. (It is the same part number for both broil and bake igniter) To get to the bake igniter, remove two screws at the very back of the oven floor to allow oven floor to be removed. Remove flame spreader, and you will see the oven igniter at the back of the burner.

GE Profile Stove baking option not working

Possibly the bake igniter, the temperature sensor or the electronic oven clock/control. Does broil mode heat properly or does it run cool also? If broil heats to the proper temperature then the temperature sensor is probably ok. That leaves the ignitor or the controller which takes some more troubleshooting. If it is the controller, we repair them at www.fixyourboard.com.

My GE Oven heating element and timer clock went

Try unplugging the oven and let sit for 10 min. This will reset the curcuit board and reboot the electronics. You may have to pull out the stove o get to the cord.

GE Profile stove not working

If neither bake or broil ignitors work you must first verify voltage to the parts.
Most likely a defective electronic control.
