When I turn my playstation2 on it turns on and goes to the "browse" and "configuration" screen like everything is fine, but it doesn't spin the disk, nor will the lazer eye move. I turned it off, unplugged it and turned it back on, it has been dropped but not hard, but was working after that. So I dont know why it's doing this please tell me that it's fixable....I JUST got it like two weeks ago please send soultion to my email,

Hi. this issue is normaly caused by bad screen (normaly top screen) or bad assembly in one of two screens, re insert carefully the flex cable again, if your screens are fine this must fix the issue
well that means the playstaions lense is broken so u have to get it fixed cuz thats wat reads the disk wit out that u wont be able to play any games at all
It's sort of a solution, but I work in a computer shop and got this screen in yesterday. I looked at it closely and it's actually the backlight that died. I pulled it apart and found that three of the 820uF/20V capacitors had swollen up. If you replace them then you should be fine, but I went for a different approach and took the inverter board from a laptop and put the in the screen and used an external power supply. It's a bit dark but it works fine now.
I start my computer and turn it on, and everything looks fine for about 1/4 of a second and then it goes black while leaving the power light green. I can only see the screen again after turning it off and on, but that's only for another 1/4 second. What's up? I got my rosewill flatscreen as a hand me down from my father. I've had it for several years now. Was working fine until a month ago. When I turn the computer on the screen goes black after 1/4 of a saecond. I have to turn it off and on anywhere from 10 to 20 times before it stays on. I have checked all plugs to the computer and outlets. I have absolutely no idea whats causing this.
