I have multiple problems with this mp3 i get the bad track sign come up sometimes ti freezes the main problem is uploading and deleting song and the wired file that managed to appear on it with names like n,p and other symbol that i don't know how to type. These strange file cannot be deleted. Another problem with the uploading is for some reason some songs are doubled and one time i have had a single song come up over 75 times. all of the files come up normal on my computer(i have vista does that make a difference?) .I have tried the Sansa connect recovery tool and it did not detect my device all both of the players settings. I have the latest firmware and updates and all that. Nothing is working i don't what to do. HELP!

I have this problem too, only a little different. When I put music on the sansa, it doesn't show up when I disconnect it from the
computer, on occasion the system reset take a long time and the files come up corupted I have used both MTP AND MSC modes.I am worried about wiping the player because If I do when I attempt to put the music back, it may not show at all. resetting is NOT an option

Chagne the mode of the player to MSC and format the player using your computer. The sansa connect recovery is used for a different device.

Sansa E 250 bad track

On your e250, go to the "Settings" menu, select "USB Mode", and set it to "MSC". Then connect your e250 to your computer. It show up under My Computer as a "removable disk". Right click on it and select "Format". Click on the "Start" button, making sure that Quick Format is NOT checked. Wait for the formatting to complete, unplug your e250, wait for it to reboot (or force it to reboot if necessary), plug it back in, and copy your songs back onto it.

BAD TRACK ONCE AGAIN JUST WONT PLAY ANYMORE

Go to the Sandisk website. After that, look up your mp3 player model. Hit Ctrl+F and look for firmware. Follow the instructions. It worked for me.

Sansa e250

I did not get the "Swtich to Recovery mode" screen, my screen was stuck on "Bad Track." I formatted the drive (which deleted EVERYTHING), and then i put the songs back on, and it works just fine. Try this, it might help.
