Dvd-s325 comes up with error -u11 wond play dvds, reads some and not others says no disc. no very only

    The disc is in, but it is telling me that there is no disc in. It is a Sylvania MP3.

IC MR6710 datasheet and/or where to order it?

If you are trying to run a recorded DVD (saved a video or movie on to it), it could be the quality of the disc. I would recommend buying quality DVD's, the lower quality ones can create read errors (U11).

Won't recognise DVD Ram and non-finalised discs from own recordings.
Hi,

Usually, the U11 error code in a Panasonic DVD player indicates an optical problem. You could of course try doing a cleaning using a CD cleaner normally readily from computer parts stores. Alternately, you can open the unit up and do a manual cleaning with soft bristle brush and/or cotton buds. Other than that, it could be indicative of a weakening laser eye which of course would require parts replacement.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you

need additional information.

The dvd recorder has stopped recognising dvds that previously it would play quite happily. Is the likely cause a dirty lens or is it more likely to be something to do with the spindle? I get the "cannot...
I presume you hade cleaned the discs and the players optical lense before posting this request and also tried them on another player?

Basicaly If they do not work on other players then the discs have now failed for some reason: many budget priced discs I have come across only work for a few years.

If you have a 'spindle problem' then your laser is probably slowly moving off track. If so you should be able to record and then playback on a GOOD disc for a while.

Player won't read the DVDs
some players won't play burnt discs. If you are using a factory made disc and you still get this, then you can try and clean laser lens with rubbing alcohol and cotton swab.
If the cleaning doesn't work, then the laser lens circuit will need to be replaced.

Playstation 2 won't play DVDs
if it's a fat PS2 and
model SCPH 30001, SCPH 35001
(not including the models with an 'R' after the model #.

these models need the following to play DVDs:
- PS2 DVD remote with IR unit
- PS2 DVD disc player (sold with DVD remote w/ IR unit)
- PS2 memory card

you copied the DVD disc to the memory card. you used the memory card to play DVDs.

later models didn't need the memory card to play DVDs.

Mizuda dvd player wont read dvds
Hi,

A couple of things To try.

1:) The DVD Player May be Region encoded, can only play certain region Dvds. ** Try different Disks**

2:) The Disk May Be Dirty-Scratched ( Towards The Centre )
** Clean The Disk With A Soft Lint-Free Cloth**

3:) The Laser Head may have a speck of dust or debris on it.
** Try a Laser Cleaning CD**

Toshiba dvd rom sd r6012 isn't reading the DVDs
Try some factory CD and DVDs and just try to get them to open in Windows (not play in a media player program). If you get errors on every disc you try, it may be your CD/DVD hardware packing in.

If it reads some CDs or DVDs and not others, particularly media discs, you may be having software driver problems, otherwise, it is likely hardware.

Try inserting the disc and spinning it up while resting the laptop on its side, or even upside down. If it reads sideways or upside down, the CD/DVD reader hardware has gone and cannot probably be prepared (this is a symptom of physical controller failure and is ot fixable by normal means).

DVR doesn't read disc, says region doen't match
check the region of the new one probably it is region 4 made in china.your disc is a region one thats the reason why it cannot play on your new dvr which is a region 3 or 4.go on the web and see hw you can hack the code or burn a copy of that same disc.then try it in your new dvr.good luck
