Prima HT 8104 home theatre

I bought this system in a private sale. It is a brand new system in box.
I opened the box and assembled the parts.

I have connected all the cables at the right place but my rear (surround) speakers and centre speaker is not working.
I checked all the speakers and they are working. Problem in the subwoofer output socket or something else..

If anyone knows the solution for this please let me know.
Thanks...

    Hi there,

Thanks a lot for your advice.

Actually I did try exactly the same way and all except one speaker is working but its very low sound compared to earlier one.

Before with 2 speakers it was loud but after I did changes according to your instructions two more speakers are working but all speakers except centre one has low sound output.

If you have any solution for that then pl. let me know.

Thanks and have a nice day!!!

In the 3D processing turn on the Pro Logic and the for the mode as well set it to pro logic.
it simulates 5.1 surround.

this is what I did and it's decent. Other way would be to run the system through a amp/receiver that supports 5.1 surround.

No surround sound with Prima HT-TW57P DVD System

I realize this may sound silly but it could be the disc your are playing. Some DVDs are not mixed for surround sound and thoes that are produce very little sound from the rears.

Rear speakers were meant for effect, not meant to distract you from the picture.

Give this a try, get a movie playing that is 5.1 surround sound. Check that the home theatre is not set to stereo mode, if it is change the surround mode on the unit. Now that you are in the middle of an action scene disconnect the front speakers and see if there is background noise comming out of the rears.

If its still dead let me know more details about the system and I will work on a solution.

Cheers,

Connect external sound system to Prima tv

There is sound coming from the tv speakers though? I had the same problem with my top of the line 7 channel surround sound theatre system. Its not that there is anything wrong with the sound system but that you may need to plug the Audio cord into the external device IE: cable box. Mine works strictly for the dvd function of my system because of this.

We have a samsung ht-z515 home theater system and a new samsung ln-t4669f hd tv and I'm trying to hook up the system so we can hear it through the speakers. We are on Verizon Fios and I bought a Fiber...

Make sure the TV is set to output audio to the digital optical port. Then make sure you have selected the proper output mode on the home theatre. Unplug the optical cable from the back of the home theatre and see if the red laser is on (don't shine it in your eyes! :))
