I have found temporary solution, I pull both the USB cables on my KVM for a few seconds, when they are both pulled I leave them unplugged for 5 seconds and then plug them back in and now the switch is happy again until the next time.

same here. switch worked for about 3 days, then it started to switch back. strange is that one side of the switch works perfect on both PCs, but when i try to switch to the other side of the switch, no matter which computer is connected to it, its switched immidiately back....

Sadly, it is probably the KVM as this particular model has a string of failures and is only rated 2 out of 5 stars on Amazon due to poor performance. :( What I would do first is plug in Computer 2 directly to the monitor, keyboard and mouse with no KVM. If those work fine, it is probably not a computer issue; if you don't get video here, then it is a seperate issue with that PC. If Computer 2 is working, plug both computers into the KVM but switch the cables (plug Computer 1 into the KVM using Computer 2's cables). If Computer 2 shows up and can't switch to Computer 1, then it is the KVM messing up.

Mac keyboard not working through SV211KDVI on windows

Chances are that the distance between the keyboard & the PC computer is attenuating the signal of the keyboard below the threshold (or level) required for interfacing with the PC computer.

Perhaps a shorter KVM cable between the KVM unit & the PC computer could be helpful.

Monitor works sometimes and sometimes not

Reboot pc until you have a picture, then try updating the drivers for the monitor and your gpu if applicable, outdated drivers can cause erratic and intermittent behavior. Navigation to drivers access varies slightly based on operating system.

Okay so my webcam was working fine but then it stopped working there was a message prompting me to uninstall and try again but I can't reinstall it! Can you help me please

uninstall it, then reinstall it, without the camera plugged in. DONT plug camera in untill it tells you to, then switch off computer then switch back on this should solve the problem.

Dimension 5100 will not turn on

Try checking your Computer Management Services.

I had a similiar problem with a laptop. Just stopped working one day. Could not shutdown because it would not restart without disconnecting power. Could not reboot, because it would not restart without power being disconnected.

Checked Computer Management Services and found some of the services had been turned off.

Try this and let me know if you need more help.

Anytime I moved my laptop, the screen would switch off. I left it with PC repair shop. They said it worked fine for them. I took it home. Now I just have to touch the laptop (usually lefthand corner beside...

If thats the case then its probably the cable from your screen to the motherboard. This cable is called the screen ribbon cable. these cables are not meant to be pulled out and in more than 2 times and after that they become unpredictable. Ask the shop if they can replace it.
