My yahoo messenger is not opening but it running in the process

Try to remove yahoo messenger and re-install it again.
If you can't uninstall it try this:
1) Log out of Yahoo Messenger and close yahoo messenger completely [ it should not be running under task manager as a process ]. 2) Open Start Menu >> Control Panel. 3) Double-click on Add or Remove Programs. 4) Locate Yahoo Messenger in Add or Remove Programs. 5) Click Change/Remove button. 6) Restart your computer, if it doesn't restart it automatically. 7) Open Yahoo folder in Program Files (C:\Program Files\Yahoo) and delete it. 8) Open registry through Start Menu >> Run and type regedit now navigate to the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ Software\ registry entry, delete Yahoo, and exit the Registry.
If the above method does not work for you, try the following methods to solve the problem.
1. Open Program Files >> Yahoo Messenger and find the file UNWISE.exe file. Double click this to run it. This will un install yahoo messenger.

Click this link and click "Download (65KB)" to download. Once it's downloaded, run the program by double-clicking the file and follow the onscreen instructions. You will receive a confirmation message "Done" when it's applied. Before you run this, please close the Yahoo Messenger (also quit the yahoo messenger icon from the taskbar.)..
You can also do this from the Registry Editor. But the process is more or less similar and the above trick is much faster.
If you wish to learn how to do it from the Registry Editor, follow the steps:
1. Go to Start, then Run . Type regedit, then enter .
2. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then open "Software" folder, then "yahoo" followed by "pager" and "Test"
3. On the right pane , right-click (on empty area) and choose new Dword value .
4. Rename it as Plural.
5. Double click and assign a decimal value of 1.
6. Close by clicking "Ok".
Now check whether you can login multiple accounts or not.

It is possible that it is running in your taskbar (bottom right-hand of screen). If so, double click this smaller icon to open the window. If not, try uninstalling and reinstallnig Yahoo Messenger.

Step 1. : Open Yahoo.com website

Step 2. : after open it you can see left side like this mail, answer, buzz, cricket in column find Messenger in this column


Step 3. Click on Messenger

Step 4. wait for complete process

Step 5. then after complete it you can see download word

Step 6. just click on this download word

Step 7. wait for complete process

Step 8. after download complete you can see yahoo messenger icon on your desktop

Step 9. double click on yahoo messenger or single click and press enter

Step 10. after its open just feed your email id and password

Step 11. after login you click on messenger menu

Step 12. find yahoo chat option in messenger menu

Step 13. In Yahoo chat click on join room

Step 14. after some process you can see many rooms like romance, religion etc.

Step 15. Select any one room (click on one room name if u want go in romance so please click on romance) you can see this left side

Step 16. after click you wait for some process

Step 17. after process you can right side 20's loves( ), 30's loves ( ). Please double click on one room

Step 18. after you can see some process and you can see enter chat tab please click on this tab

Step 19. after you can see chat room and you need to type one code which you see der.

Step 20. After that you can chat with available male/female in chat room

You can download it from the Yahoo Home page, but if you have problem doing that, let me give you a link for offline installer so that you will face no problem with the installation and download later.
click here to download yahoo messenger.
Open the link, click "Free user" button, wait for few seconds, (around 32 seconds) and click the blue "Download" button. After the download is completed, double-click the file or just run it and follow the onscreen instructions. This will directly install the yahoo messenger on your computer.

try these steps and tell me incase any issues

Please check the right bottom side with clock ...there will be one gray Yahoo messenger ICON just double click on that or Right click and choose Show Yahoo Messenger...if that is not there press Alt+Ctrl+Del to open Task Manager...check if there is any process running related Yahoo or Named Yahoo....just Choose that and End Process that...
Now try open yahoo messenger again...

If still not works...Uninstall Yahoo messenger....restart PC...Download and Install it again....

Your process probably just froze.

Press (on your keyboard) Ctrl + Alt + Delete at the same time and the task manager should come up. If you have windows vista then select task manager when given a list of options.

--> Go to the Tab that says "Processes"
--> Look for the name "YahooMessenger.exe" on the left hand side. and click it to highlight it.
--> Click "End Process" on the bottom right hand side.
--> Its going to ask do you want to end process. Just say yes. Or it might hesitate for a minute and say the task is not responding. Simply hit "End"
--> Once you no longer see "YahooMessenger" in the list, double the yahoo messenger icon to bring it back up.


If this still does not work your going to have to unistall and re-install the program.
