That's happened to me before. I never found out the real reason but i think most likely because the card is full. You could go to future shop or best buy and ask for help.

How do i get my nikon L10 digital camera to download to my Dell Vostro laptop

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa or Nikon Transfer.

Software for my nikon

Hello All!

here is a easier way to view/transfer your videos/pictures.....

if your running Windows Xp or Vista great.

select your menu button on the back of the camera , then Shooting menu, then Set up, scroll down to Interface, then USB, select mass storage. press menu to exit.

turn your camera on after you connect the USB cable to your computer and camera.

a new hardware wizard should be active, Xp & vista provides the drivers and a one time deal. your camera turns into a removable hard drive or like a jump drive.

you can drag & drop the video files easily into a folder .....
