Wireless printing working construction, have a two person office trailer. Want to know if I can connect my Canon Pixma MP830 printer/fax/copier to my netgear WGT624 wireless router allowing both of us to print without miles of cable for a hard connection

Hi, Through what method would you connect the printer to the netgear? I have looked at the information on both products and the netgear has no Print Server and the Printer has no Ethernet or wireless. If your printer has no ethernet or wireless and your router has no print server then the answer to your question is NO. HOWEVER: You can install the printer on any one of the pc's and then set it up as a SHARED PRINTER. If you would like further information on doing this please let me know and I will post it here. Thanks

Check for any saved faxes sent/received and remove. Remove the Canon Software and reinstall.

Too many spam faxes - 3 or 4 per day

the m/c cant save faxes to your pc!The best would be to get a fax 2 mail nr and recieve on your pc and then print what u need!

In Use/Memory FAX after changing ink cartridge

I had the same problem - it would not print the faxes as the machine would not recognize the generic cartridge - I had to get the official Canon cartridge to get the faxes to print out of memory.

Wireless printing

The MP830 does not include the ability to do Wireless Network printing. You can however, connect this printer to one of your Windows or Mac PCs and share it on the network, which is wireless, therefore accomplishing the same thing.

1) Install the Drivers and Software that came with your Printer.
2) Go to the Control Panel > Printers & Faxes
3) Right-click your printer and click "Sharing"
4) Choose Share this Printer, and give it a name.
5) You can then on, use the Add Printer Wizard on any other Windows PC and install it by searching for network printers.

Step 1 is the same for Mac
2) Go to System Preferences > Sharing
3) Check the box for Printer Sharing
4) Any Mac on the network can see it!!
5) Added treat: go to http://apple.com/bonjour to install bonjour for Windows, using this software you can print using any Mac printer on any PC
