Paper Jam Our C410Dn printer will not print anything because it constantly thinks there is a paper jam when there is not. You print one thing and boom - it says paper jam and beeps at you. There is no paper jam. What could be my solution?!?!

Same thing. The paper tray will not pick up or will just start to pick up and says there is an error. The Bypass Tray works fine but is a pain to have to use.

There is a small clear plastic sheet that is suppose to be in front of the black friction pad in the paper tray. if that sheet is under the pad instead of in front of it you will get this error.

There is a paper weight selector in the front left of the tray. Be sure it is set to .7 if you are using standard paper. Mine seems to work now.

Ricoh SP C410dn Paper only prints 11cm and stops in the Bypass T

do not use ohp film in this device as it will jam due to the use of optical paper sensors unless your ohp has a paper backing. you can set up the bypass tray for thick paper type to increase fuser temp to get better fusing etc

Printer

One of two things.
1. When the jam occured there may have been a small piece of paper torn off on a sensor.
2. And I think this is more likley. One of the sensor actuators has fallen off or is stuck causing the sensor to think there is still paper in the machine.
Take your time and examine the paper path carefully.
The actuators are black plastic pieces about an inch long hanging down into the paper path.

Paper jam message will not go off - so unable to print . there does not appesr to be anything in the printer. have tried every thing i can think of. help ireally need to print

Do a careful check for anything stuck in the printer- a small piece of paper, paper clip, or even a small piece of broken plastic from the printer itself. Anything that can jam up the works, or hold a paper sense sensor in an activated position can give you a problem like this. Also, the paper sensor itself could have a problem. This sensor is in the paper path somewhere.

Paper jam

I used the cardboard backing from an 8x11 tablet; I pushed it into the paperholder; it pushed out a small bit of paper which could not be seen; behold, the paper jam was no longer. I paid a computer repairman $15 to do the same thing with a plastic sheet.
