Dropped calls when cordless phone plugged into it.

We have a cordless phone plugged into the back of the KX-T7633 phone and the regular phone seems to drop calls after a few minutes if the cordless phone is plugged into it. If the cordless is not plugged into it then it works fine. Also the cordless seems to work fine. We need to cordless as we are not always in the office with the regular phone. Any suggestions? One thought is maybe put the cordless phone on another extension and program it somehow so both phones ring at the same time kind of like a delayed ring or something. I have no idea how to program the phone to do this though. I have called our phone company and they don't know. So just trying to find the best solution. Any help would be appreciated.

I have solved this problem several times by using a splitter at the telephone jack instead of the XDP port on the phone. The extension is programmed to share the port isn't it? That is in program 600.

How do i program to use Kx t7730 sharing the same line with a cordless phone using a splitter

Programming a Panasonic KX-T7730 phone to share the same line with a cordless phone using a splitter requires specific steps to ensure proper operation. Keep in mind that splitting a phone line may affect the overall call quality and performance, so it's important to follow the instructions carefully. Here's a general guide to help you set it up:
  1. Obtain the Necessary Equipment:
    • Panasonic KX-T7730 phone
    • Cordless phone (compatible with the line splitter)
    • Telephone line splitter (designed to split the line to multiple devices)
  2. Connect the Splitter:
    • Plug one end of the telephone line from the wall jack into the "Line" or "Input" port on the splitter.
    • Plug the other end of the splitter into the "Line" or "Input" port on the KX-T7730 phone.
    • Plug the cordless phone's base unit into the "Phone" or "Output" port on the splitter.
  3. Configure the KX-T7730:
    • Lift the handset of the KX-T7730 phone.
    • Press the "Program" button, followed by the desired extension number (e.g., "101") or the "Intercom" button.
  4. Select the Line:
    • Press the "0" or "CO" button on the KX-T7730 phone's keypad to select an available outside line (usually labeled as "CO" lines).
  5. Make a Test Call:
    • Place a test call from the cordless phone to ensure that both devices are functioning as expected. Verify that you can make and receive calls from both phones.
  6. Adjust Settings (if needed):
    • Depending on your specific requirements and the features of your phone system, you may need to adjust settings such as ringing patterns, call forwarding, and call waiting. Refer to the user manual for your KX-T7730 phone for instructions on adjusting these settings.
  7. Testing and Troubleshooting:
    • Test the setup thoroughly by making and receiving calls from both the KX-T7730 phone and the cordless phone.
    • If you encounter any issues with call quality, dropped calls, or interference, consider consulting a professional technician or your phone service provider for assistance.

I have a desktop Panasonic corded phone model kx-t7633 and I want to connect a handheld cordless phone model kx-tg4011 to it. How do I sync the two phones?

There are a lot of conditions, but first you have to have an analog port to back up the digital. In a TDA 30/50 it means one of the first 4 extensons in the system which have the Digital Super Hybrid ports. It's something that the dealer or someone with the dealer password and maintenance tool will have to set up. Once it's done, the mated extension can either stand alone, or be merged with the digital phone.

I have a phone system in my house using the KX-T7633 model corded phones. I want to plug in a cordless phone in the back of the KX-T7633 so that I can be cordless, but when I do I can not get a dial tone...

In a TDA-30/50 there are FOUR super hybrid ports, the first 4 on the cabinet. In a TDA 100/200/600, there are NONE. Which one do you have and is your extension 101-104? If not, it won't work. You can probably wire an analog port to the first pair and use the same cable, but it will never merge with the digital set.

From your phone did you dial the *7105 command for call forward busy/no answer? You need to add the voice mail box to the rest of the command followed by #.

KX-T7633 Voicemail rings

The Voice Mail feature is set by your phone company, not by the phone. Typically the phone company will set it for 20 seconds, or approximately 4 rings. This is called your voice mail "Ring Cycle"

Call them up (the customer service number should be on your phone bill) and they should be able to increase or decrease your ring cycle for you at no charge.

On the intercom dial *71x1 where x is 0 for all calls, 1 for outside calls and 2 for intercom calls. *71x0 cancels, or you can just press the FWD/DND button until it goes out.

Registering a new cordless handset

It doesn't exactly "register" but you turn it on via phone programming.

Just plug it into the headset jack, then select a button to program and press PROG (the button) and dial 67 enter.

When you press the button, the light will turn on and the display will say HEADSET ON. Pressing it again will turn it off.
