Siemens Phone My Siemens 2420 base and gigaset phones are having display problems, I can hardly see the words displayed on screen. As well sometimes the keys are sticking on the key pad. Do you have a solution. Thank you.

The display was hard to read for about one year, and then it completely went out, and the buttons are making it where you need to push very hard to get them to work, the worst button is the REL button on the bottom.

My desk station display is totally gone. This makes the phone almost totally useless. Is there a battery to make it light up again?

Some dude on ebay a while back specialized in fixing this pblm w a guarantee, i think the price was around $75, a little steep for what the phone is worth. You may want to browse some of the shops that come up in response to searching on "siemens 2420" as I forgot the guy's name...

Hello,
The display on my siemens 2420 is not showing up. Can anyone tell me the steps to set up my answering machine? I need it actually broke down for me, ie: press the menu button 4 times, press select, etc. Since I have no display I have no idea when I need to press "select"
Thank you!

I just replied to a similar post. This is a common problem, not only with the Siemens but most all manufacturers that used this design of display on many different devices. And in this case, the display connections are pressed on with a special machine and can't be replaced by a do it yourselfer. Sorry I can only recommend sending it in for repair.
