Question about NorStar M7324 Telephone
I see how to access the call log from the manual but it doesn't say how to log the calls. Can anyone help?
This is real close to one of the "if we tell you we have to kill you" questions.
Call log is set up in two ways, by the system and by the station. A system has 250 entries in the pool and they are parted out the the station by whatever the user wants. If you alter the pool, you may lose all data, so figure out who is using the log and how annoyed they will be if you start clearing it.
Try the one that starts the log on your set first. Press FEATURE **USER and password **BASIC
Key in your set number and step down to call log. optns. If you have any space allocated, you can tell the system what you want to capture. If you don't......
Here's where CALL LOG SPACE comes in. You now get to go into system programming and allocate space for your set. If you **** up someone else's space, then they will lose their log.
This is the best answer I will give in a public forum, but it should be enough to get you started. Your Nortel installer can do this in less than 30 minutes. If you're familiar with programming and have the system coordinator's guide you should be able to look up the keywords and figure it out. 20-50 are nice round numbers, depending on the number of people who use the pool.
You may contact me via email [email protected] with your sytsem model if you need additional help.

If that doesn't work, I think calling them is the correct course of action. number is 1-800-255-3700. they are open from 6a to 7p PST, seven days a week.
