Question about Hotpoint HSS25GFP Side by Side Refrigerator
The icemaker in my HSS25GFP stopped working a few weeks back. After reading alot of the posted solutions to similar problems it seemed that the most recommended course of action was to just get a new icemaker. I purchased and installed a new icemaker; it made not difference at all. Here are the symptoms: - Ice maker unit is on - No ice cubes are produced from the icemaker unit. - Water flows into ice tray OK. - Water freezes in ice tray and then the ice cubes just sit there in the tray. The heater never comes on. The motor never trys to flip them out of the tray into the ice bin. Ice cubes are never released from the tray into the ice bin. What can I check or do from here? I'm an engineer so I'm not afraid to take stuff apart and test voltages, etc. Thank you.
Are u sure that model # Is right.. DOnt come up in any of my model data bases Seems like u might of got a bad icemaker.. if the water is coming into the icemaker from the water valve.. icemaker has to have power, to do that... all funtions after that would be controled by the iceaker .. The only other thing i can think of is your refrigerator has to be a certain temp to activate icemaker somewhere around 0 give or take some to be safe
