Re: i pulled on the crown and it came off the stem
Do not open the watch yet, as you do not know how to get the stem out. Take an eyeglass and examine the crown. You will find the small hub in the centre of the crown. If the centre of this hub is hollow and you can see the thread in it- you will be able to screw it back on stem (all watch crowns are screwed on to stems, never pressed). If the centre of that hub looks filled with metal, then the stem end is broke and you will need replace stem AND crown (the metal filling the hub is the broken end of stem). In case if the crown still in tact, let me know by asking questions and I'll guide you through all the process HOW TO.

You need to get out your jeweler's loupe (best at 5x & 10x)... and look for the threads to "*****" (ski-rue) down your winder-stem (not a lock).
(Features a Ski-rue down crown & back case)
YOU can pretty much be assured that if the "stem" collar is malfunctioning (broken) the "water-proof" element is compromised (that's most likely the least of your troubles).
More importantly... if the STEM does not properly "tighten" it can
cause further damage against gears which MUST align with it... further it can come all the way out and be lost... Not an inexpensive part.
Best direction would be to get it serviced by an authorized agent.
Pull out the crown to the alarm setting position. The crown is located on the right side of the face of the watch. Pull the crown out until "AL", the alarm indicator, is shown on the watch. Depending upon the model of your Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch, you will either pull the crown out in the first or second position.
Select the hours and minuets for the alarm. Once your watch is in the alarm setting position, press the bottom right button on your watch. This will enable you to select the hours and minuets that you want to set the alarm for.
Set your alarm. To begin setting your alarm turn the crown clockwise until the desired hour or minutes are displayed on your Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch. If you happen to accidentally pass the alarm time, turn the crown counter-clockwise the get back to the desired alarm time.
Save your alarm. When you are ready to save your alarm, simply push in the crown. Once your alarm sounds, to silence it press any button on your Tag Heuer Aquaracer watch.
Hi! your watch probably has a screw down crown which is a feature found in well made watches. Turn the setting mechanism on the watch until it unscrews then pops out a little , pull it out two clicks to set your time, and one click to set your date. The one click setting can tricky it is what we call a halfway setting but you will feel it pulling the stem in and out. Then make sure to screw the crown back in this is a water resistant feature. Thank you! hope this helps:)
It may have a screw down crown. Try turning the crown counterclockwise see if it unscrews. There is no other reason for it not to pull out unless someone has opened the back and removed the crown and stem then inserted it crooked and it is stuck. If someone has done this the watch could be damaged.

To s e t t h e t i m e a n d d a t e Your TAG Heuer chronograph is fitted with a screw-in crown and safety seals which guarantee it to be waterproof to 200 m (660 ft). Position 0: Crown is screwed in (normal position). Important: The crown must be screwed in correctly to guarantee the water-resistance of the watch. Position 1: Crown unscrewed. To change the hour (change of time zone) or date quickly, unscrew the crown, pull it out to position 2 (quick corrector) and turn it in either direction. This mode allows you to change the hour and the date without any loss of minutes. The date changes each time the hour-hand passes midnight. To set the time, unscrew the crown, pull it out to position 3 (setting the time) and turn it in either direction. After setting the date or the time, push the crown back and screw in to position 0.
Tags have a screw down crown (winder knob) turn the knob counter clock-wise until you feel the crown unscrew (not off) then pull the crown carfully. It will pop once this is for date adjust. Then pull once more and you can now adjust the hands, set accordingly then push crown back in. After you push it back in gently compress the crown and tighten clockwise until it stops. CAUTION!!!!!!! Tags are not waterproof if the crown is not screwed back down. I hope this helps I am actually a car guy (just happen to own a couple)
