    RE above

Many thanks for the solution. It was loose bolts on concrete balance weight. Bolts tightened, problem fixed.

    COST... NIL

    Once again many thanks!

Washing not completing cycle - F10 showing on panel. When clothes coming out of machine they are soaking wet - machine not spinning clothes. Machine is 3 months old.

When we first purchased the WT960 2yrs ago it always made a loud vibrating noise, but assumed this was normal as my sister's did this also, but recently the noise got louder, to the point where it sounded like it was going to explode. My boyfriend took it apart to find the concrete weight was 'also' VERY loose, bolts tightened (though awkward to get to) and the machine is spinning almost silently, obviously bolts were loose from the start!!!!

Bearings faulty or another fault this model suffers from is the concrete balance weight retaining bolts shake loose, if it is the bolts tighten up as soo as possible. Regards Advisor

My WT960 was also very noisey on the spin cycle, but it had been like this since new, but became increasingly loud, to the point it sounded like it was going to explode. Boyfriend took machine apart to find the concrete weight had also loosened, bolts tightened, though awkward to get to. Now the machine spins ALOT silently than before!

Hotpoint wt960 ultima, very noisey when on spin

Remove lower rear panel of washer, remove belt and spin drum by hand, if it is noisy or feels rough, then main drum bearings have failed.
If no noise, then look elsewhere for prob..Could be noisy motor, or loose concrete balance wieght.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.
