I have had my blackjack II for a few months now, and just last night, it had a charge, and I woke up this morning and it was off. I plugged it in, unsure why it would just go dead, but it did not respond. I tried to turn it on, still nothing, I have a completely dead phone now, and this was actually the 2nd in the few months I've had the contract... the 1st they had to send back due to misfunctions... any suggestions? ( I do have insurance, however isn't their a $50 deductable on the phone?)

The pins inside the phone where its plugged in could be messed up, that's whats wrong with mine but i found the phone and i don't have warranty or service for it, basically use it for storing info.

SOURCE: My blackjack wont charge

I did a hard reset because i was having the same problem with a new battery and a new charger. I took my sim card out first to prevent any possible data loss. then followed the following steps:

  1. Once the handset has rebooted to the Today Screen, enter the following code: *2767*3855#. The handset should display a message “Formatting- Please wait a moment”.
  2. The phone will reboot after the Full Reset as this is normal operation.
after i did that i plugged in the charger and it worked perfectly. this is the last step that you would do after updating the software on the BJ

SOURCE: Blackjack 2 simply will not turn on!

Mine did this after being dropped. I worked on it for a long time- finally got it to come on...then had to turn if off to fly. I spent a long time trying to figure it out....I am no tech expert- just an athletic trainer so to me if I drop it something must have shifted so...I tried to fix that. I took the back and the power button off (the power button has a small stretchy loop attached-- do not tear this or you can't get it back on- you need to loosen up the key and tilt it back and down to unloop it). There is then a small "power button" that gets clicked under the big one. The contents of my phone had shifted so I gently pushed the button down and forward into the phone (I actually tried severally directions). It does not have to be forceful- I was very careful. And "poof" my phone turned on and I am much happier. ;) Then you just re-attach the loop and you are set. I hope this helps anyone looking for answers- I couldn't find any other suggestions anywhere that were sucessful for my situation. I now do not have to spend money on a new phone. :)

Samsung Blackjack i607 Does not turn on or indicate power charging. Pins in charging area and cable im using to charge is ok! only used once.

hey , if the battery charging is not showing the problem is mostly with the battery. try using a spare battery if you have or go to a service center and try the same.

Samsung Blackjack

Did it last shut down after draining the entire battery? And are you trying to charge it through a USB connection? The USB charger only charges the phone if it's on (I know, that's stupid, but there you have it). You'll have to use a power inverter and charge it on a wall outlet if the battery is dead. If that's what you're doing, let me know and I'll try to find another solution for you.

My Samsung Blackjack II won't charge.

Return to the carrier for warranty repair.

If you are out of warranty there are some options you can choose from

1. Get repaired
2. New phone
3. external charging source

The external battery charger runs about 20 dollars on ebay with an extra battery.

Blackjack 2 won't turn on

Hi svstskier,

This is actually a bug in the BlackJack II's firmware. If you power the BlackJack II off, but you're unable to power back on, try removing the battery for about 10 seconds, then reinsert the battery and power back on. The power button should work now.

(At the moment there's no permanent fix for this.)

Does that adequately resolve the issue?
Are you turning the BlackJack II off to conserve battery? While flying? Something else?

Thanks!

Blackjack II will not start

This has happened to my Blackjack II and I've found if I plug it into the charger then plug the charger into the wall, the phone comes right on. It's a pain, however, if I'm not at home when it decides to do this since no amount of button pushing will turn it back on, it acts like the battery is dead (when I know it isn't!)

BTW, I've have to have my SIM card switched out twice and the battery replaced 4 times since I bought this phone brand new in February......

My samsung blackjack 2 will not charge. the battery is now totally dead, will not turn on and will not charge even with the wall outlet charger or the computer usb charger. when the phone still had some...

If the Red Led stays turned on it is as simple as this.....the solder connecting your power on button to the system board in your phone has worn off..... you must pop the power button at the top of your phone off and you will be able to see where the soldering paste has simply worn off. At my job I have a soldering machine so it was not problem for me. I simply took pasted it back to the board with tin.....now this may require some work. just pop off the top section of you phone with a flathead screw driver and pop out the power button. look closely and you should be able to see where the botton has lifted from the little greenish system board..... Find someone to solder it, put it back together and it works like new.........SEE YA
