My epson r300 shows "General Roor See printer documentation for information about clearing the error" I have tried this and also the Epson web site there is no information available

step1..............switch on
step2............unplug the printer cable
step3............ press+ (hold stop,ink,power) buttons until general error message appeared on screen "CLEAR WASTE INK CTR"
"FINISHED"
"TURN OFF"
"PRINTER POWER"
step3............plug in the printer cable
step4............switch back on and problems should have gone.... :)) GOODLUCK!!!!!!!!

This is usually fatal. You can try dismantling the machine and checking all the sensor flags are intact etc, but it often boils down to a ruined main board.
Bin it and buy and buy a HP!!

Havnt used the printer in 6 months, used it for first time yeaterday and general error see printer documentation comes up, why?
my printer says service required, parts inside are at the end of their service life, see documentation
general error belt slips head stops moving
general error message appeared on screen refer to documentation but cant find any info
"General Error. See your printer documentation for information about clearing the error."
Tried the "Power/Stop/Ink" turn on procedure, got this -
"CLEAR WASTE INK CTR"
"FINISHED"
"TURN OFF"
"PRINTER POWER"
This did NOT fix the problem. Next power up give the same old "General Error...."
