Question about Biostar 945GZ-SE Micro Socket 775 Motherboard (945GZM775SE)
My motherboard which is a one month old is giving boot problems ever since i installed a new tvtuner card (pixelview). Now the system is not posting even after the removal of the tvtuner card. I tried CMOS reset but no use. The strange thing which i observed that if i reset CMOS by removing the battery for sometime and replace it, the power LED is glowing just connecting power cord to ATX PS without even switching on the Power switch. what does this indicate.
You may have a short somewhere, maybe against the pc case or a cmos chip fault. You could have stressed the board when fitting the tv card, or the motherboard was simply faulty at purchase. You will have to reset the bios by the shorting terminals (refer to manual) as removing the battery alone does not always reset the bios.
