Question about Toshiba Stratagy 4 Lite Voicemail System Phone
All incoming calls will not transfer to voice mail. I have the default ring set to 4 and additionally, I have my greeting set up. Any thoughts on why calls will not transfer to vm?
Typically you want your phone system to ring your phones (say extension 10, 11 and 15) and then if no one answers after so many rings the call is transfered to the port the voice mail is on (let's say it's port 16) The voice mail is set to answer right away but does not "ring" until the call is transfered to it. This way (at 4 rings) if a call comes in on line 1 and you answer after 3 rings but a call comes in on line 2 at the same time, the first ring on line 2 will not make the total = 4 and set off the voice mail. I would guess the port at your voice mail is not set to ring and nothing is set up to transfer calls to your voice mail. Did you set this up yourself? How did you program the phone system?

Thank you for responding. I finally figured it out. All I needed to do was program my telephone. I found a book hidden away on a shelf that gave me the codes. My phone now transfers to vm if I do not answer or am on the phone.
I have a similar problem with an older Stratagy DK system. When I reset the base unit for voice mail retrieval nothing is changed. I've tried deleting the extension from the Stratagy system and re-establishing it but still no luck. Is there a specific code sequence (undocumented?) that will work?

I work at the senior center..we have several phones..calls do not go to voice mail...phone just keeps on ringing. All the phones at the center are affected. How do we fix this?
why can I not transfer a call when the next line is ringing but I have open lines
