My Panasonic camera is exactly one year old and has worked fine until yesterday. I started out with a full battery, used it a few times during the day to shoot about a dozen photos. When I tried to review the photos that night, the camera wouldn't power up. I've tried charging the battery, but no luck. I tested the battery with a voltmeter and it reads 4.15 volts (+ and - terminals or + and T terminals) so the battery appears fine. Is there any reset function not listed in the owner's manual?
I sent the camera DMC-TZ! to Panasonic in Chicago,of course they wont honor Best Buy's service contract. They quoted $126.00 to fix it.This camera and accessories has cost $581.00 +.already.+ $75.00 infuel to deliver and P.U. from Best buy.
So,I am not interested in spending anymore on this "WHITE ELEPHANT"
Seems that there would be a legal way to take action against Best Buy if people would stick together into a class action suit.
In due respect, every one complains about the problems but no one is willing to take steps "UNIFIED" to get action..

Try taking out the battery, then putting it back in. Also consider using a replacement battery to see if that's the issue. Your problem might be addressed in the user manual for the device: Panasonic DMC FX8 manual
The flash of my Panasonic DMC-TZ1 camera has stopped working normally - it flashes but the image is dummy. Could it be its falshing lamp is reaching its recources after working 3 years? Can it be changed?
follow some tips given below: 1.try changing the battery ... 2.just plugin the charger with out battery and then try 3. check whether it is connecting with the pc or not .. if it is connecting with the pc then there is no firmware problem...
if problem persists then the firmware has got corrupted you must installed with the new firmware or may be the POWER IC might have gone.....
