Can't hear.. I am able to hear the voice at the other end only if i am in a speaker mode i.e If i call up someone, i am not able to hear their voice , i need to switch to speaker phone. Same case while receiving the calls also . Any solutions?

Most voice tracks come through the center channel. If you don't have a center speaker hooked up, then turn off or change the surround mode so that the player will put the voice tracks back to the front speakers.

Hello,
I have seen this before three or four times on the i-phone. Your earpiece is broken and needs to be replaced. The firmware is not going to change anything. Bring it to at&t and they will flip it or repair it for you under warranty. If that is not an option, take it to any other service center that is qualified and certified, and they should be able to do it in like 45 min time while you wait. If you cant find anywhere to do it check my profile and we can help you out. Hope this helps.

When i call someone on my phone they can hear my voice but i can't hear their voice.

Hi,
Try to use the loud speaker if it works then the problem is with the ear piece only.You need to replace it.

Someone calls me i cant hear them,they hear me, my speakers work fine for everything else

If you can't hear anything.
Check the following:
* That you microphone is plug into.
* Settings on the Volume Properties should be the Mic is enabled.
* Test some configuration where as you maybe can hear your voice into speakers.
* Try it.

When I am talking to someone on the phone i get a lot of static.

see what TTY mode your phone is in. TTY mode is under call settings or go to voice command and say TTY mode. I keep mine off. This mode is for people who are deaf, and people who are hard of hearing and use hearing aids.
