Music Can't download music to psp from computer or from memory card inserted into computer. On the "My Computer" when connecting USB cable or memory card it says, "y:\is not accessible, an unexpected network error occurred" instead of going to a drive or device with removable storage. Actually no drive comes up.

How do you get music to save on a new 4gb memory card on a nokia E5 instead of saving in phone memory

Transfer music from a computer
You can use the following methods to transfer music:

• To install Nokia Ovi Player to manage and organize your music files, download
the PC software from www.ovi.com, and follow the instructions.

• To view your device on a computer as a mass memory device where you can
transfer any data files, make the connection with a compatible USB data cable
or Bluetooth connectivity. If you are using a USB data cable, select Mass
storage as the USB connection mode. A compatible memory card must be
inserted in the device.

• To synchronize music with Windows Media Player, connect a compatible USB
data cable, and select PC Suite as the USB connection mode. A compatible
memory card must be inserted in the device.

To change the default USB connection mode, select Menu > Ctrl. panel >
Connectivity > USB and USB connection mode.

How to Download Music to a Memory Card?

Downloading music onto memory cards allows you to conveniently transport and store your digital audio. Some personal computers come equipped with built-in memory card readers. However, external devices still provide download capability for those who do not own memory card-ready computers. In either case, the drag and drop process allows you to store your favorite music onto memory cards.
Instructions
  1. Insert the memory card into an external memory card reader or device associated with the memory card, such as a PDA.
  2. Connect the external memory card reader or device to your computer using a USB cable. Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port on the external memory card reader or device. Insert the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the computer.
  3. Wait for the computer to recognize the external memory card reader or device. You will access the external memory card reader or device as if it were a drive in your file manager. Skip Steps 1 through 3 and insert the memory card directly into your computer's built-in memory card reader if applicable.
  4. Open the file icon for the memory card reader or device to view its file contents as a folder.
  5. Open the folder containing the digital audio file you wish to download to the memory card.
  6. Drag and drop your desired digital audio file into the memory card reader or device's open file folder.

If you have a card reader on your computer, take out the memory stick from the psp and insert it into the card reader. Your computer should load the card normally and then you can transfer the music onto the card using your computer.

How do i download music frm my laptop to my sd

Insert the SD-card into a SD-slot in your computer, if your computer has such a slot. Then, Windows will assign a "drive-letter" (not 'A:' or 'C:' or 'D:', but you get the idea) to the storage-device.

Then, copy files from your C: drive-letter to the "new" drive-letter.

Or, if your SD-card fits into your portable music-player, and the music-player can connect to your computer with a special USB-cable, then insert the SD-card into the music-player, and connect the USB-cable, and turn the music-player on. Then, copy the files.

Usb cable

Just like sorta of add-on to szwaan's answer:

You must have a memory stick to put music into your psp such as mp3 files, the psp itself does not have any internal memory for you to store any music files whatsoever.

if you got a memory stick already, connect your psp to your computer via usb cable, select usb under the setting section of your psp, and the memory stick drive will appear in your "my computer", so you can drag your music into the Music folder of your memory stick and play them from your psp.

Downloading music from computer

easy. plug in the USB cable into your PSP and the other (big) end into your computer. on the PSP home menu, go all the way to the right and select USB mode. YOU NEED A MEMORY CARD INSERTED. click open and explore files if somthing pops up on your computer. if not, go to my computer, then memory stick K (or what ever letter your compute shows). then if its not already there, make a new folder and call it MUSIC

then drag and drop / copy and paste your songs into that folder.
